Maritz Motivation Solutions Welcomes Chris Winkelspecht

ST. LOUIS (July 20, 2015) – Maritz Motivation Solutions welcomes Chris Winkelspecht, Ph.D. to the role of director – strategic services. As a key member of the employee solutions group, Chris will connect, consult and collaborate with clients to optimize their recognition systems’ ability to drive performance and engagement.

Prior to joining Maritz Motivation Solutions, Chris was the business owner of an enterprise recognition system and led a team of consultants in a Fortune 50 company. The design of that company’s system earned him a spot on Workforce Magazine’s Game Changer list following its launch in 2013. “Chris’s experience provides a unique perspective for our clients. Since he has ‘walked in their shoes’ he knows what program owners truly value,” say Kimberly Abel-Lanier, Vice President and General Manager, Workforce Solutions at Maritz Motivation Solutions. “His expertise and knowledge will ensure our clients have the resources and support to further enhance their recognition and engagement strategies.

Chris earned his Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Auburn University. His training as a researcher and expertise in both theory and empirically supported practices related to organization behavior shape the strategy and guidance he provides clients and colleagues. “Recognition is the perfect area of focus for someone like me who is passionate about a broad array of human resource and management subjects because recognition can… and should… be leveraged to support them all.” Chris’ experience developing reinforcement and reward strategies range from sales initiatives to operations KPIs to HR engagement efforts following employee surveys. He has repeatedly shown how investing in reinforcement and rewards can accelerate the achievement of goals and positively affect employees through the process.
