Ping He to Serve as Global General Manager for Asia Pacific

ST. LOUIS, MO (Feb. 25, 2014) Asia Pacific industry leader and Shanghai native Ping He, has been appointed global general manager of Asia Pacific for Maritz Travel Company – the top global service provider for the Meeting, Incentive, Convention and Exposition (M.I.C.E.) industry. In this role, Ping He will help lead the Maritz Travel Company Global Meetings Network, counsel and support current and future client engagements, and continue her and the company’s in-market industry advocacy, education and leadership efforts.

As a 20-year veteran of Maritz Travel Company, which includes Maritz Travel and Experient, Ping He has been and continues to be a leading architect in our own global strategies as well as those of our clients. With a natural ability, and personal drive to match, Ping He connects client goals and guests with the unique local flair of destinations to truly create one-of-a-kind experiences. Her leadership style and approach informs and guides corporate, association and tradeshow client decisions to best achieve global value objectives.

“Ping has been an extraordinary global visionary throughout her entire career,” said David Peckinpaugh, president of Maritz Travel Company. “With Ping’s knowledge, insights, leadership and drive – especially in the Asia Pacific market – current and future Maritz Travel Company clients now have an even larger advantage in their broader global and deeper local interests.”

Ping He is joined by two other Maritz Travel Company global general manager colleagues focused on complementary geographic markets: Ben Goedegebuure, an established industry leader, representing Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Eduardo Chaillo, an extended member of the Maritz Travel Company team, representing Latin America and Mexico.

“I am honored to be a part of such an exceptional team of proven industry visionaries and change agents who share a deep commitment toward advancing the global meetings industry,” said Ping He. “We all share a strong passion for our industry, our organization, and especially, for our clients and their program guests. By joining together our regional networks, we create a unique opportunity to present clients with a more balanced and localized approach to global meetings.”

Ping He will help lead efforts that further support client organizations needing more extensive geographic insights, expertise and a deeper local understanding throughout the Asia Pacific regions. This will ensure consistent quality in the design and delivery of programs that help transform client organizations and their people through the event experience.

“Global success for our client programs requires a disciplined and comprehensive view of all the opportunities – and potential risks – involved,” said Ping He. “With an added regional focus, we don’t just have a high-level understanding of the industry and markets, but also of the differences in local trends, cultures, networks and opportunities. Together, we know how to best get things done efficiently and effectively anywhere throughout the world.”
