I Love STL! Maritz Gives Generously to the United Way

December 15, 2015

Here at Maritz, we recently wrapped up our 2015 United Way campaign, and it was a major success. During the one-month campaign, our people gave 100 percent to an organization that does so much for the St. Louis community.

With the campaign theme of “I Love STL,” we rose to the challenge and raised more than $340,726 through online giving and participating in special events like a trivia night, kickball tournament, and 5k run/walk. We also gave our time and talent, volunteering for 46 “Days of Caring” projects.

Steve Maritz, current board chair of the United Way of Greater St. Louis, and chairman and CEO of Maritz Holdings, shared his appreciation for the efforts of Maritz employees. “The United Way runs a terrific organization that does a lot of good, and your generosity and commitment makes a big difference by helping them do their job well. Thanks to everyone for your strong support.”

In addition to our employees’ financial contributions, the Maritz organization provided incentive packages to the top 50 corporate fundraisers in St. Louis and hosted training sessions for the United Way employee campaign coordinators.

Altogether, the St Louis community raised a record-breaking $74.35 million for the 2015 campaign, which will enable the United Way to continue “mobilizing the community with one goal in mind – helping people live their best possible lives.”

Maritz is honored to help this wonderful organization help others. If you would like to support the United Way, read more about ways to give here.
