Steve Maritz Earns Prestigious Award from USTA

November 25, 2015

Steve Maritz has been honored with the single highest and most revered honor an individual in the travel industry can receive. In the presence of leaders from Maritz and the industry, as well as his wife and children, Steve was inducted into the US Travel Hall of Leaders this past fall in Washington, D.C.

Throughout his career, Steve has made significant contributions to the meetings and incentive travel industry. Most notably, in 2009 at the height of the Great Recession, Steve and 19 other travel industry CEO’s visited Capitol Hill and the White House to educate President Barack Obama, members of his cabinet and Congress on the importance and impact of business meetings, events and incentive travel on the economy and business performance.

But his contributions don’t stop there. As a leader, Steve has developed relationships with many people – clients, employees, and community and industry partners – fostering connections that have lasting impact on each person, their organization and the community.

During the induction ceremony, some of Steve’s closest friends and colleagues shared their thoughts on Steve’s impact to the travel industry and those he works with. Check out this video and get a glimpse into the essence of who Steve is in work and life, and how well-respected he is by both friends and colleagues alike.

Congratulations, Steve! Your Maritz family is proud of you!
