Tell Kids They Matter - And Vote for Maritz!

January 25, 2016

Across the nation, there are students who are not receiving the necessary tools to achieve great success in the classroom. Teach For America, a non-profit organization, dedicates itself to closing the academic achievement gap between children from different socioeconomic backgrounds and aiding in the success of those less-fortunate. Maritz has dedicated its time, talent and resources to support the Teach For America organization and we want to tell kids they matter! As part of the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship Film Festival, Maritz has produced a video highlighting its partnership with Teach For America, and the power a community can have in making a difference in the lives of underprivileged children.

This video showcases an annual school supply drive our employees host, in which we collect and distribute supplies for local teachers, alleviating the personal burden teachers often feel providing for their students. Brittany Packnett, Executive Director for Teach For America in St. Louis said, “The school supplies you provide are not just giving students the tools they need to be successful, these supplies are telling students they matter.”

You can help us spread the message that students do matter regardless of where they are from or how much money they have.
