McEuen to Share the Latest Science Behind Engagement for Better Meetings and Events

 

ST. LOUIS (March 27, 2012) –  Mary Beth McEuen, vice president, executive director of The Maritz Institute , will present the closing keynote at the 8th Annual Pharmaceutical Meeting Management Forum in Orlando, Fl., entitled, “The Game Has Changed: How the Neuroscience of Engagement Can Help You Create More Meaningful Meetings and Events.” McEuen’s presentation will take place at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28th.

In her speech, McEuen will share ways in which organizations can improve their meetings and events to truly engage their key stakeholders. McEuen will describe how the human sciences, especially neuroscience, are informing improved frameworks for creating meaningful, memorable and motivating experiences.

From McEuen’s presentation, attendees will:

  • Hear how academicians and business leaders view the current business environment and are voicing the need for dramatic change.
  • Understand how shifting personal values are changing what people want from their relationships with businesses and brands.
  • Learn  how discoveries in the human sciences are updating behavior theories and changing long-held assumptions about how best to engage people.
  • Build on a new framework that enables business to create “places of true engagement” using meetings, events and face-to-face interactions.

The 8th Annual Pharmaceutical Meeting Management Forum is an event for meeting professionals from pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, diagnostics or third-party meeting management companies. The Forum provides industry-specific networking opportunities for hundreds of meeting professionals in addition to hosting more than 30 educational sessions. The Expo runs from March 25–28, 2012.
