Maritz and VELOCITY Broadcasting Develop Unique, Comprehensive
Approach to Cost-Effective, Virtual Live Meetings and Events

Maritz and VELOCITY Broadcasting have collaborated to create the first offering in the LIVE suite of services – immersive satellite broadcast events. These events are a unique approach to virtual meetings because they blend Maritz’ expertise in strategic meetings management, content development and participant measurement with VELOCITY Broadcasting’s private High-Definition satellite network. This collaborative approach features complete event management services from planning and creative consultation, to production and post-event evaluation, for best-in-class, turnkey execution.

The experience combines custom-created live television broadcasting with private dining room screening and interactive technology at venues, such as Morton’s The Steakhouse or Maggiano’s Little Italy restaurants, and ClubCorp’s private club locations. The result is an immersive sensory experience that eliminates the hassles and costs of overnight travel, as well as distance barriers. Trending Toward Virtual

Maritz LIVE addresses client needs based on research Maritz conducted through 2008 to identify ways people were managing meetings and events. Respondents indicated that they have reduced the number of meetings and events, or reduced the number of attendees to drive down costs. The research also revealed that many are using electronic communications to replace some of those meetings and events. Approximately, 70 percent used e-mail communications, while 63 percent relied on webinars and 61 percent used virtual meetings.
