Maritz Named a Best Place to Work
March 03, 2017
Pop the champagne! Shower the confetti! We are thrilled to announce Maritz is the winner of the St. Louis Business Journal’s “Best Place to Work” Award in the giant category. This award recognizes the best-of-the-best, local St. Louis companies that perform well on workplace factors including communication, management structure, benefits, and teamwork.
At Maritz, we attribute this “Best Place to Work” honor to our people. We believe our people make us special. Through building strong community partnerships that have a real impact on our community, fostering personal and professional growth in a positive work environment, focusing on wellness initiatives that encourage a healthy and balanced lifestyle, and remaining strong corporate citizens who deeply care about our environment, we empower our people to reach their full potential.
This belief has guided us to create a great culture – a culture where we celebrate one another and we celebrate success.
The celebration does not stop there! For the second year in a row, we received the Community Impact Award from the St. Louis Business Journal, which recognizes and celebrates our team’s focus on and commitment to the communities in which we live and work.
For many years, Maritz has been an influential partner in the community supporting non-profit partners with a focus on programs that are designed to educate. We’ve formed partnerships with the United Way, Teach for America, St. Louis Children’s Hospital and more than 300 other organizations. In alignment with our philosophy that people are at the heart of our business, our employees’ receive up to 12 hours per year of paid time off from work to perform community service with the partner of their choice.
This commitment to giving back and helping others is deeply ingrained in our culture, and a major reason why we’re the best place to work!
“Being named a Best Place to Work and receiving the Community Impact Award are reflective of the great people at Maritz and their dedication to create a culture worth celebrating,” said Dennis Hummel, president of Maritz Holdings Inc. “I am very proud of our organization – the work we do for our clients, the partnerships we’ve formed with the community, and the people who make it all happen. To our employees, thank you for making us a great company and helping build a better St. Louis.”
Congratulations, Maritz! And congratulations to all category winners and finalists!
