Case Study: A Major High Tech Company

Client Needed a Solution to Selecting, Purchasing, Marketing and Fulfilling Merchandise

Situation
The Client needed a company to select, purchase, market, and fulfill merchandise with the Company logo for internal and external reseller promotions, employee performance rewards, and for personal use of employees. Initially, the Company Store that distributed merchandise to employees and consumers was run separately.

Solution
Maritz consolidated the two Company programs for greater efficiency. Over 100 different items were selected, purchased, warehoused, and fulfilled. An online store featured photographs and descriptions of the merchandise. Both the Web site and the catalog were used to promote and facilitate orders. The system was designed to process multiple forms of payment-credit cards, purchase orders, co-op funds for resellers, or award points. A retail store central to several of the Client’s locations, was also designed and opened by Maritz.
